Gagnon Overhead Door Ltd. is seeking an Installer/Technician to join their team of passionate garage door professionals.

  • Experience in the field of mechanics (an asset)
  • Experience in the field of electric door openers (an asset)
  • Comfortable working outdoors 12 months a year
  • Able to lift heavy loads
  • Physically be able to lift 50lbs or above
  • Criminal background check
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Class 5 drivers license needed
  • Not afraid of Heights
  • Whmis 2015
  • Fall arrest
  • Forklift and Scissor lift training needed or will need to be obtained
  • Install garage doors of a variety of sizes and styles
  • Service and maintain garage doors
  • Adjust and test equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools
  • Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair
  • Ability to wire/unwire low voltage commercial garage door motors
  • Trouble shoot garage door motor issues and high-speed doors
  • Mechanical and technical skills, with a willingness to continue learning
  • Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Possess interpersonal skills to relate to customers and solve issues
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Ability to occasionally travel and be on a On-Call rotation
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Experience with customer relationship management software
